It is my pleasure to introduce Robert Jackson Blackburn, D.M.D. MS, who has joined Seal Prosthodontics as our Senior Partner. Many of you have already had the opportunity to meet him during his recent time in the office, and he officially began his full‑time role on April 1, 2026. I hope you’ll take a moment to welcome him during your next visit and experience firsthand the warmth and professionalism he brings to our practice.
Dr. Blackburn is a truly exceptional prosthodontist someone whose skill, compassion, and dedication to patient care stand out immediately. He completed his Master of Science in Prosthodontics at the renowned University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, one of the most respected programs in the country. His career reflects a rare blend of clinical excellence, academic involvement, and community service.
Over the years, he has worked in private practice, taught and lectured within the profession, and volunteered his time to care for underserved patients at the UNC SHAC Clinic and the Asheville‑Buncombe Christian Community Ministry Dental Clinic. His commitment to giving back speaks volumes about who he is not only as a clinician, but as a person. Outside the office, he enjoys life with his wife, Laura, and their one‑year‑old son, Charlie, who keeps them happily on their toes.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Blackburn will be taking on important managerial responsibilities within the practice. His insight, leadership, and thoughtful approach will help guide Seal Prosthodontics as we continue to grow and evolve. I am genuinely excited to work alongside him in the years ahead.
